This beautiful vintage Harris Lebus chest of drawers has been given a completely new lease of life with a hand-painted wildflower meadow-inspired finish, creating a piece that feels both wonderfully nostalgic and totally unique.

The soft, nature-inspired palette and abundance of painted florals and wild grasses bring this classic dressing table with three drawers to life, while the original vintage character of the Lebus piece remains beautifully intact. Every flower, detail and little imperfection has been lovingly created by hand, making this a genuinely one-of-a-kind piece of upcycled furniture.

I love creating furniture that feels like it has a story to tell, and this one really does. There are certain moments of summer that you wish you could bottle forever. The warmth lingering in the air,wild grasses dancing in the breeze, the sun slowly sinking below the horizon as everything glows for just a little bit longer. 

That's the feeling I wanted to create with this piece.

Created for Fusion Mineral Paint's 'Alchemy Collective' with the theme of Summer Glow, four artists were given only three colours (Raspberry, Thistle & Harvest) - the rest was up to us to depict the vision we had.

Perfect for a bedroom, hallway, dressing area or anywhere that could use a little more colour and character, this is functional furniture with a serious personality.

A note on character

This unit has both age and history and has been previously loved, so there may be signs of a life well lived. As always, I've taken care to lovingly restore it to a beautiful reloved statement piece that would sit proudly in any home.

If you're after a perfect factory finish, upcycled or refinished furniture may not be the best choice for you. My pieces are chosen for their character and, like all of us, may have small quirks that add to their charm.
