Our non-yellowing water-based Fusion Tough Coat comes in 2 sheens: Matte and Gloss. Tough Coat is excellent over whites and light colours and perfect for those high traffic surfaces such as table tops. Easy to apply for a super smooth streak-free finish!
Fusion Tough Coat is a water-based and non-yellowing wipe-on poly, perfect for high-traffic surfaces that will undergo frequent washing like kitchen cabinets or table tops.
It's also suitable to be applied over darker colours, but with some caution. Apply in thin even layers to avoid cloudiness which can happen with water-based top coats over darker colours.
Also bear in mind that water-based top coats can draw out unblocked tannins from your surface. Prime with a shellac-based primer as part of your prep if you suspect your wood may bleed i.e. Cherry or Mahogany.
